💤 Free Sample Activity from the Bedtime Box: Help for Kids Scared of Nighttime Noises

If your child struggles with nighttime noises—like creaky floors, humming vents, or the dreaded “what was that?!”—you’re not alone. This is one of the most common fears kids face at bedtime.

That’s why I’ve created this free sample activity from the Bedtime Box to help! It’s simple, fun and designed to gently guide your child through their fear in a playful, empowering way.

What Is the Bedtime Box?

The Bedtime Box is a screen-free, interactive program designed for kids ages 6–10 who struggle with anxious thoughts, nighttime fears, or trouble sleeping on their own. It was created in collaboration with mental health professionals to support both kids and caregivers.

Inside the box, your child becomes a Sleep Scientist—taking an active role in discovering what helps their body feel calm and confident at night. Through fun, hands-on tools and a guided "Sleep Lab Diary," kids experiment with real calming techniques that build self-regulation and independence.

It’s zero prep for parents—just open and follow.

📬 Your child will love receiving a real box in the mail filled with:

  • Comfort items to support sleep

  • Engaging bedtime activities

  • A gentle step-by-step plan to move toward sleeping independently

  • Tools to address the real issue behind bedtime battles: anxiety

Whether your child is afraid of the dark, struggles with separation, or just finds it hard to wind down, the Bedtime Box meets them where they are—gently and playfully.

Want to try it? Start with this free sample activity. It’s a sneak peek of what’s inside—and a helpful tool for any family navigating nighttime fears.

Hi, I’m Liz—a parent who’s been in the trenches of navigating childhood anxiety. Those experiences sparked a deep passion to help other families thrive. I’m on a mission to create simple, fun, and meaningful activities—like the Bravery Boxes—that bring families closer while building confidence and resilience in kids.

I hold a degree in Business with a minor in Psychology and am currently pursuing a master’s in counseling. I collaborate closely with pediatric mental health professionals to ensure the tools and strategies I share are grounded in evidence while staying easy to use at home.
